• A further investigation revealed many large binary files (~4M each) such as StarDb/VmcGeometry/y2005c.rz committed and deleted 15 years ago. These files are still in the history and contribute to the bare size
• Large calibration files for TPC in `StarDb/` under investigation. Their content likely duplicates what is in the MySQL DB
• The smaller the size the better. But a size under 100M seems feasible. Reminder: the quota for users home on RACF is 25G
• Another option is to do a local clone to save space on a shared disk. It is a default builtin feature implemented by using hardlinks to a local .git. Hardlinking means no additional space is used
